About me
Amy Johnson is the Policy and Engagement Coordinator for the Emergent Bilingual Support Division of the TEA. Amy has been a bilingual educator for 22 years, serving in Alief and Leander ISDs. She is passionate about equity for emergent bilingual students and meaningful support for their hardworking teachers. Amy holds a BA in Psychology and a BS in Applied Learning and Development from UT - Austin, and an MEd in Bilingual Education from HBU. Amy is a certified bilingual and special education teacher.
