Francisco Usero González, Ph.D., is an accomplished educator and Assistant Professor in the Bilingual Education Program at Sam Houston State University. With over 15 years of extensive experience in K-12 education across various countries, including Spain, UK, France, and the USA, Dr. Usero González has developed a deep understanding of diverse educational contexts. He holds multiple B.A. and M.Ed. degrees in Education, complemented by a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence. Recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field, Dr. Usero González has been the recipient of numerous accolades and awards in education. His research and expertise focus on neurobiological specific learning disabilities and the unique needs of emergent bilingual students whose first language is Spanish. Driven by a passion for multilingual and multicultural education, he investigates innovative instructional technology approaches, family engagement, and the implementation of the Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) to support Latinx bilingual students' education and development. Through his publications in esteemed educational journals and presentations at national and international conferences, Dr. Usero González continues to shape and advance the field of bilingual education.
