About me
Taleisha Taylor has more than 17 years’ experience in working with ESL and Dual Language in the classroom and at the district level as an Emergent Bilingual Instructional Specialist. Early in her career as an ESL teacher, she was given the opportunity to teach in one of the first Two Way Dual Language Programs in a large Texas school district where she learned the importance and benefits of biliteracy. As an EB Instructional Specialist, she supported EB programming including compliance (implementation of LAS Links), K-12 ESL instructional support with emphasis on long term EB’s, newcomers, and EB high school graduation, and data gathering, interpretation, and presentation. In her role as a Language Assessment Solutions Consultant with Data Recognition Corporation, Taleisha supports all Texas LEA’s with the LAS Battery of Assessment program implementation which includes providing guidance and best practices, connecting data to instructional strategies as well as expanding LAS Links beyond identification progress monitoring.
